Is a long-term Ohio State basketball fan – his parents were season ticket holders when St John Arena first opened in 1956 – and as a result, he was introduced to Ohio State basketball at an early age. At just 7 years old, he attended his first-ever Ohio State game. That game, a 96 to 95 victory over Indiana by the 1959-1960 Buckeye team that featured starters Jerry Lucas, John Havlicek, Joe Roberts, Mel Nowell, and Larry Siegfried. That team, of course, would go on to win the first and only NCAA Championship for the Buckeyes.
He has been hooked ever since!
